LOOKS ARE DECEPTIVE

Though i have been on this beautiful world for past 21 years and roughly 8 months added to it.But never felt the need to record the lessons of life. But its never late to start . So, here i begin with my first experience so, that in future . I am never short of stories.Aren't stories very nice provided they are short.Life definitely is a patient teacher(not the other patient who is being nursed by a beautiful girl), it will always look for the right time and location to teach and test you. That is why it is said life teaches lessons very harshly.
Hey.....wait... don't lose interest i won't continue with my boring philosphy.

So, here goes the story. I was visiting gurudwara sahib SINGH SHAHEEDAN, sohana to pay obesiance . After paying obesiance when i was coming out i found a book stall at a corner. As reading being my hobby never ever lose a chance of browsing through books. So, i went upto the book stall.Just about when i was to pick the book. The bookseller stopped and handed me a cassette of gurmat in punjabi, though it was a book stall he was having cassette's also. I said," No, i am looking for a book.He said"Ok and handed me a book in punjabi".I was again surprised that what is up with this uncle ji.I said no i am looking for one in english. Before giving the book he simply asked me,"ki tusi padh sakoge eh book? Will you be able to read this book". I replied,"yes of course".The next thing he did is most hilarious. He simply stared at me in bewilderment and handed the book to me. being an avid reader when you encounter such situations one feel's like telling the other hey dude you don't know or i can say i even dont know how many books i have read. But reading has one advantage it will never let you boost about it because when you visit libraries or bookshops you know how deep the ocean of books is and one is not even any where near to the start also. Here even being a punjabi will also not affect you because punjabi's are known to be flaunty. So, i maintained cool and started reading the review on the back cover and then a little bit of foreword to get the idea of the book.In the meantime uncle'ji was closely scrutinizing my every action and by the time i finished .He asked me," what you do".I answered"i am a final year engineering student."Didn't find it important to tell my branch i.e. computer science because i was never a practical computer engineer so, no right to claim the tag.He asked me the place and name of the college. I just answered him diligently as i do whenever asked. Then he started me showing the other books and was looking quite interested in doing that. Now this time i was astonished. Wassup uncle ji itni jaldi change. Being a man of 40 plus age he was able to read my doubt and said," the way you were looking at the book that first you read the review and foreword assured me that neither you are new to reading and nor you are unable to read this language".I just smiled and kept the book back, while coming back i was wondering do looks matter in proving that one is educated or capable enough. Came back home went straight to my room and looked myself in the mirror and definitely. Looks do matter. Won't tell you the details of what i was wearing , how i was looking because it has only one answer that i was looking pathetic.
But nevertheless it won't affect me because in the end he was able to recognise my capability and even without my proving it.So, as one of my friends PAWAN says," Don't be desperate , things will definitely fall in proper place at proper time." The same thing happened today. Learning from lessons of life and good friends are very important as each and every word of their's has some meaning, one must be able to connect to the words properly.

Learnt a new word of chatting """""59""""" form Mr. SAMPAT TANDON

Today just few minutes earlier. I learnt one of the biggest shortcuts of chatting. It will be of great help probably when i am too tired to write "fine".Great !!!saves the effort to type just two more words. Now i totally agree you can always be learning even when one is doing one of the most time killing activity like chatting , when you have already met the friend earlier in the day.So, here goes the story. I just got online when i found this classmate of mine online at around 10:30. I was expecting him, usually he gets online at this time. After whole day's toil at the place he is undergoing training or may be maximum girls in his profile are online at this time. So, I thought he must me busy chatting with some girl on facebook let's disturb and irritate him.Yes, i was right also . As i just started with my distracting messages like "hi" , "hw r u","" hws d day been ""' and pat came the reply """59""" and my purpose was over and his answer was clear . Often i use to wonder it's very difficult to judge wether the person was really intersted in talking to you or not while chatting. But replies like this often convey one thing,"Hey i am now at my flirting best .So, don't poke in your nose and disturb me ".
Hope the indian education system also gets like this """fun based learning"" i.e. One is still learning even though one is at his mischevious best, teasing and still learning.

AVAIL EVERY OPPORTUNITY THAT COMES YOUR WAY

This is the message i want to convey with this post.I have often heard people saying this and have myself said it often"""" yaar ek baar opportunity mille na main duniya hilla dun""".When the poor opportunity comes your way. No, matter whatever it does wether pages ,calls or even knocks on our door. We have shut down every source from which we can have an inclination of it being there. I would say just have a focus on your goal and the moment you see even single ray of it coming your way , grab it with your both hands.Otherwise one will be left again saying '"yaar ek baar opportunity mille na main duniya hilla dun"". I have true incident to share with you all. Hope it act as an eyeopener for all those who are younger to me and even to those who are of my age or elder.
The story goes as follows:
It was wednesday and i was at state library sector 34. After browsing through some newspapers and magazines i came outside and sat on the scooter. There were these two guys probably of class 12th as i was able to make out from their conversation.Initially they were just chitchatting about usual stuff two guys will ever discuss i.e. girls , girls and more girls. But suddenly their conversation moved to a more serious node. As they were talking loudly i was able to over hear their talk . But now i wish i should not have listened to. First said," library akar acchi sitting de paatta hun yaar, par ghar pe toh bahut mushkil se do teen ghante.""How many hours you study after going home from library", he asked the second one.Second replied" I study till 4 in th morning after going home from here".first guy was quite astonished"oh ! really how come you are able to sit so long for studying"."I have seen many of my cousins doing engineering from not so reputed college and then not able to land any job",he answered. This was enough i didn't wanted to listen to them anymore and suddenly a beggar came and spread his hand in front of me.I had just got the lesson of my life from the kids younger to me and i didn't wanted to give it away.I wanted to tell the beggar the lesson i have just learnt but had no words to explain him. Moreover one has to learn himself nobody can teach you. So, i started my scooter and went away.
Any one who stumbles upon my this post. never forget to follow the heading of post """avail every opportunity that comes your way."""

WHEN INDIA PLAYS THE WHOLE NATION PLAYS ALONG

The moment you guys would have read the heading of today's post you can make out, what i am talking about????It's ofcourse cricket guys. In coming times there will be no other sport which will give an adrenaline rush from young to old.Thankfully there are still some people today who get excitement and entertainment watching other sports like football ,hockey etc.But with time they will also fade . A youngster"" i am not saying every"' can sometime fall short of the names of games for which india plays in various national and international championships. But talk about cricket even the minutest, faintest detail will never be given a miss.As if one will flunk in exam if not updated with current happenings in cricketing world.Even i have felt like an outcaste when my friend talk about this sport. I like to have updates on every game possible which causes them to give nasty looks at me . As if cricket is the only sport. It's a great game no doubt but please, give other games also a thought.Let's leave all the serious talk aside . Let me tell you the incident which inspired me to write this post. It's hilarious guys .When i saw i had so, many emotions flowing through me one by one.The incident goes as follows.
I was just returning from market went to get some recharge.Hoping that i would also have somebody to wish valentine's day and it may culminate into a date (par ye sheikh chilli ke khwaab hain poore nahi ho sakte.). Suddenly i saw a guy of around 17-18 coming running towards me. He was looking terrified as if he has been robbed at gunpoint by goons. He is running very fast exactly in my direction. Definitely i was also shocked, one can even say completely dumbstruck.I am standing helpless with in seconds he will collide with me and i'll be on the floor. But suddenly and thankfully he changes his direction and shouts at the shopkeeper"Uncle ji southafrica deyan dooo(2) wicketan hor gir gayiaan."It means southafrica has lost two more wickets.I am standing there in amazement and waiting for shopkeeper to reply he said" Chak de phatte".I moved on thinking this is really a cricket maniac nation.Even i had crossed a lot shops i can see them still discussing about the match.Customers waiting they get over with there talk and even some join them in the talk. It's definitely true students can skip school, workers there jobs, women there gossips, girls there bitching and guys there bird watching( those without wings) , but details of a cricket match no way.

CRTICISM- part 1

CRITICISM IS CRITICISM HOW CAN IT BE GOOD OR BAD???
There would not have been an instance where one would not have been criticised.Definitely, everyone is criticised at one or the other instance in life.It starts right from birth to the death. many will agree with this and many will disagree thus criticism of this post will start So, it is inevitable. How can it be from birth?????Haven't we witnessed it when one of our cousins were born or any body in the near and dears born. People come to congartulate on the birth of the kid and end up doing comaprisons ""he looks like his mother so girly looking , she looks like her father so manly looking "" and the poor kid never knows how he/she has been welcomed into this world .such a warm welcome and look at the irony nobody can escape from it.As one can't speak and say shut up you fool God has made me different and he has tried his level best to make me his best creation . But never mind life goes on one never realises as a kid , if some realise they are termed sensitive and told not to be sensitive and face the life as it comes. I mean its pathetic first you criticise for every single step taken up by the kid and then want him to be brave. How can it be possible ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
it strikes me million of times whenever i find any parent scolding the kids. I beg please, don't do that let them live the way they want, at least let this phase of life belong to them. Then see the miracle and every kid will be a rancho.Who questions and analyses and never follows mindlessly and becomes chatur.
hope to cover the next phase of life in the next post............

EXPERIENCES ARE TREASURES

This day i don't know wether should be considered as unlucky,or to learn something from. What i tink is it should be forgotten or buried deep somewhere deep in that place of my brain which i am either not using or not going to use ever. But why????????anyone who would read this will definitely feel like asking. So, let me tell you.Today i was called upon for an interview at chitkara educational trust sector25 chandigarh for "Mphasis an EDS company" established way back in 1973 in kolkata. It was scheduled to be a technical interview and then followed by the HR interview. But whatever is told and said is not meant to be done in most of the cases, as happened today. Moreover it is human nature to get the work simpler by an individual if it is to be done by him and not by anyone else, because in the latter case some people find saddistic pleasure by making others uncomfortable. So , what actually happened instea of direct interview they brought GD(group discussion) before interview.I was excited with the idea but should have not been so.I was assigned GD group no.5 unlucky for the timebeing. The topic was now the real bombshell "SABEER BHATIA".Now is this the topic for GD or extempore?I think as all of you must be thinking for extempore , but i was simply forced to do a GD on it.I didn't knew anything of this person . What could have i done ????
1. simply walked out of the GD that would have looked quite uncourteous and cowardly of me.
2.should have told the moderator that this is not a topic for GD but a question of G.K. it would have given a bad impression fo me and my college and even he would have written back to my college authorities aboout my being outspoken in negative terms and college would have barred me from sitting anykind of further placements.
Now i definitely feel while writing this that i should have gone for the second option if in case it would have saved other candidates from humiliation. Yes, definitely it was humiliating if not for the other candidates but for me it was , it was my first GD in life in which i was short of ideas or thoughts to speak or to contradict others. There was nothing to contradict as expect three fellow candidates there was nobody else speaking and these three defintely bigger losers than us who had nothing to speak expect blurting out one fact after another about him. I was feeling as some G.K. quiz is going on not a GD as GD is meant to discuss that topic not to give facts about the topic .They were giving fact after fact none of them daring to initiate talks about the work done by SABEER BHATIA as they knew gagan is sitting here and he can definitely take GD to another level if we speak anything which gave him the clue to speak.
Nevertheless , it was a good experience because i did not realised at that time. There is one more aspect to be taken care in a GD which is that if the group is going away from the topic we have to bring it back to the topic . I could have done this asking the group to switch back to the topic and ask them to discuss wether his selling out of hotmail to micorsoft was right decision or not, and hopefully i would have earned points for it and gone over to the next stage. Moreover even saved the grace of GD by preventing it to be a rapid fire round of a G.K. quiz.
I will never forget this day and this particular GD whole of my life as i have learnt the lesson harsher way.As i came to know later that the interview was just the HR interview which i would have definitely gone through. So, ending this post at a positive note prosperity and happiness at a cost which in today's case was presence of mind.I wish i always posses that in any other GD and interview which is to be in future.

Read and know me

Hi....guys for anyone who doesn't knows me. I am gagan deep a final year computer sience engineering student from the students beloved PTU (punjab technical university). One more thing if any body has started reading my blog i'll never put that person down by boring technical talk. This is so, because even after spending around 3.5 half years in engieneering. I am totally naive in field software development but definitely trying hard to get hold on networking field. But wait i am an expert in how to clear your semester exams. Oh ! sorry guys forgot to tell you now these semester exams are also going to be history, as i am just waiting for my 7th semester results. Hopefully and wishfully they come out positve. Presently undergoing training at Bharti Airtel IT park kishangarh ,chandigarh. But actually doing nothing just whiling away time at home . I have just joined coaching for CCNA hope to understand the nuances fo it. One more thing i keep on doing is pondering over the question" what next????". A big question for a person who's technically handicapped definitely a term made for me and only me.
